Current Transducers

Ohio Semitronics manufactures DC current transducers, as well as both absolute average and true RMS measuring AC Current transducers in ranges from 5 milliamps through 300,000 amps. All are available in a variety of form factors. Standard outputs include: 0-1 mA, 4-20mA, 0-10Vdc and 0-5Vdc. Customized input ranges and output formats are available on request.

AC Current transducers are available with inputs for external current transformers or may incorporate the CT’s into the same package, in either solid-core or split-core (clamp-on) designs. DIN Rail-mounted packaging is also available. DC Current Transducers measure through a direct connection, conductor through-hole or clamp-on technique.

Ohio Semitronics employs a number of measurement technologies, including Hall Effect, open and closed loop circuits, as well as flux gate and Rogowski techniques.

Ohio Semitronics also has technology that delivers AC and DC measurement within the same device, as well as frequency responses through 10,000 Hz (10 kHz).

Measurements are available for UL and intrinsically safe environments.

AC Current Transducers

AC Current transducers are available to measure absolute average or true RMS AC currents in ranges from 5 milliamps through 300,000 amps. Transducers are available as single or three-phase with wired inputs for external current transformers or may incorporate the CT’s into the same package, in either solid core or split core (clamp-on) packages. DIN Rail-mounted packaging is also available.

Available outputs include 0-1mA, 4-20mA, 0-10Vdc and 0-5Vdc with customized input ranges and output formats available on request. OSI achieves these by using a variety of measurement technologies, including Hall Effect, open and closed loop circuits, as well as flux gate and Rogowski techniques.

DC Current Transducers

OSI DC current transducers allow the customer to choose to measure DC current via a direct connection, conductor through-hole or clamp on technique. DIN Rail-mounted packaging is also available.

Ranges are available from 100 milliamps through 40,000 amps with a selection of outputs including 0-1mA, 4-20mA, 0-10Vdc and 0-5Vdc. Customized input ranges and output formats are available on request.
