The ProtEX-Pro PD6800 is one of Precision Digital’s most advanced and feature-packed explosion-proof, loop-powered indicators. The fact that this meter is loop-powered means that there is no need to run additional, costly power lines into a hazardous area. Like all ProtEX products, the PD6800 carries FM, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approvals for use in hazardous areas. It features a dual-line display that can be easily scaled in the field for any 4-20 mA analog input. The display has a five digit upper display, a seven alpha-numeric character lower display, and is available with a twenty-segment bar graph for level applications. Two features that really make the PD6800 stand out are its wide viewing angle display and SafeTouch® through-glass buttons. These buttons allow the PD6800 to be programmed and operated through the glass, thus eliminating the need to remove the cover in a hazardous area.

PD8-765’s huge 1.2″ (30.5 mm) sunlight readable display that is visible from over 30 feet away. This explosion-proof indicator can be field programmed to accept process voltage (0-5 V, 1-5 V, etc.) and current (4-20 mA) inputs, 100 Ohm RTDs, and the four most common thermocouples. The intensity of the display can be adjusted to compensate for various lighting conditions, including direct sunlight. The meter includes a 24 VDC power supply to drive the transmitter and can be equipped with up to four internal relays and a 4-20 mA output. The PD8-6000 can be programmed and operated without opening the housing by using the built-in SafeTouch® through-glass buttons or the RS485 serial communication port with free Modbus® protocol.

 

The ProtEX-MAX PD8-6001 explosion-proof level indicator offers all the functionality of the ProVu PD6001 as a fully FM, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approved explosion-proof product. It is specifically designed to display level in feet & inches, instead of the usual decimal format. The meter accepts a process current (4-20 mA) or process voltage (0-5V, 1-5V, etc.) signal and displays that signal on a dual-line display with convenient feet and inches designations on the upper line. The upper display can even read fractions of an inch in 8ths or 16ths. The lower line can be used to indicate a tag or to display the input in another scale, such as volume in gallons or liters. The PD8-6001 includes a 24 VDC power supply to drive the transmitter and can be equipped with up to four internal relays and a 4-20 mA output.
