SMP981 converts the linear or rotary movement of valve actuators into a pneumatic signal 0.2-1 bar (3-15 psi). From a very robust design the SMP981 is particularly designed for hazardous area in Oil & Gas or Chemical industries. SMP981 can be mounted onto on/off or control valve in parallel to a valve positioner and give like this a redundant feedback information of the valve position.
