In mines, underground ventilation is done with gigantic surface fans. When the ore is detonated to extract it, the blast of the explosion rises to the surface following the surface air supply lines. The breath can damage the blower propellers when passing. By installing a vibration sensor, it is possible to perceive the force of the explosion that goes back to the fan and thus reducing it’s speed in order to reduce vibration. Once the breath is passed, the vibration decreases and the fan can regain its initial speed without any damage.

The guard at the entry of the mine must check multiple entries simultaneously. Dimetix’s laser allows it to advise the guard of the approach of a vehicle at one of the entrances of the mine without being obliged to constantly check the monitoring screens. This improves the time of entry and reduces the traffic on the roads of the mine.
Elpro wireless communication system

Many mines have several wells to extract the ore. The construction of these wells being of different generations, the communication and interface between the wells are very difficult. The Elpro wireless communication system allows the signal to be sent between wells and also to interface them. If the first well operates with a Modbus communication or RS-232, it is very easy to interface it with Ethernet or Allen-Bradley communication to new wells. Elpro easily does this type of interface.
